CHARTER OF INVOLVEMENT
THE STEELBACKS STUDY CENTRE WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING TOWARD THE SILVER LEVEL ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT CHARTER MARK, AFTER ACHIEVING BRONZE. THE STRATEGY HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO PROMOTE THE ENGAGEMENT AND ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN DEVELOPING SERVICES ACROSS NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. THIS AWARD IS DESIGNED TO ALLOW YOUNG PEOPLE TO BECOME ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN DECISION MAKING AT OUR CENTRE AND WE HOPE TO FURTHER THE INVOLVEMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN SHAPING OUR FUTURE SERVICE.
DURING THE SESSIONS YOUNG PEOPLE ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE FEEDBACK ON THE CENTRE AND ACTIVITIES AND SOME OF THEM HAVE ALSO BEEN INVOLVED IN RECRUITMENT OF STAFF. HOWEVER WE WELCOME MORE FEEDBACK SO FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US.
QiSS
The Steelbacks successfully presented their bid for QiSS at emerged level at Crystal Palace on Friday 14th May 2010. Yvonne Tervit, former Centre Manager, said ” The scrutineer’s said we had a very strong portfolio and they were particularly impressed by how we integrate the young people into everything we do in the Centre, giving them a true voice in how the service is delivered and our ethos. Many thanks to everyone who has supported us through the process, it’s all been worthwhile and now it’s onto established we go!!”
